All the days of my life.

"Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.”

-Proverbs 31:10-12

All the days of her life.

Not just when I meet my soulmate should I bring him good, but my whole life. Everyday.

"Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.”

-Song of Solomon 2:7

It’s okay to be single, it’s worth the wait. A love that God creates for you has unlimited potential for blessings. Don’t try and rush things, and don’t settle for second best. Listen to what God has for your life and follow it. He’ll lead you where you need to go.

”So Jacob worked seven years to pay for Rachel. But his love for her was so strong that it seemed to him but a few days.”

-Genesis 29:20

This verse encourages me. It assures me that even though the wait seems long in this moment, the moment will pass quickly.

Basically, I have come to realize that God will give me the desires of my heart (Psalm 37:4). He knows what’s best for my whole life, not just in the here and now. So my best option is to listen to Him and focus on becoming the virtuous woman I am called to be, so that whoever He puts in my path will observe and see that. Not me, but who I am in Him.

"But forget all that- it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." -Isaiah 43:18-20

A few weeks ago, I watched “The Passion of the Christ.” Happy belated Easter! (Favorite holiday everrr.) My favorite part of the movie is towards the end, after Jesus had been beaten, he was carrying the cross and a guard pushed him to the ground. He fell, and his mother Mary was so upset by the scene. She was watching her son suffer, so she ran up to him to help him up. Without any complaint, or frustration Jesus says “Look Mother, I make all things new.”
Instant water works.

Seriously, think about it. Everything you have done. Your past. He has redeemed you of it ALL. Not only that, but the mistakes you haven’t even made yet. He took care of it already. When I watch that movie, in the midst of his pain and anguish, he has the joy in his heart knowing that he “makes all things new.”

Let your past be your past. I constantly struggle with this. I read a quote today from the book “Boundaries” by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend:

"The past is your ally in repairing your present and ensuring a better future."

So true.

One more quote. Are you sad? Have you been hurt? Well don’t give up. You’re a beautiful creation, who has an amazing Creator. He doesn’t waste His time. You have a purpose:

"Nearly all God’s jewels are crystallized tears." -Mrs. Charles E. Cowman

‎”God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace.” -1 Peter 1:2

"My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." -Galatians 2:20

ahh yes. :) ame su vida!

(Reblogged from the-absolute-best-posts)

love the sinner, not the sin.

It’s easy to get caught up in judging someone by their bad habits. We all do it, it’s part of our human nature. But God has called us to love. It is the greatest of all gifts.

"If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing." (1 Corinthians 13:1-2)

The thing about love is it includes everyone. God did not tell us to love only our friends, only our family, only genuine people or only people with similar interests as us. But He told us to love all.

"I tell you, love your enemies. Help and give without expecting a return. You’ll never—I promise—regret it. Live out this God-created identity the way our Father lives toward us, generously and graciously, even when we’re at our worst. Our Father is kind; you be kind." (Luke 6:35)

That’s all I have for today. Live. Laugh. Love.

I’m feeling really scatterbrained today so I hope this makes sense, if not my apologies. Enjoy! :)

“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.” (1 John 4:18)

For a long time I practiced praising the Lord on good days and giving Him the cold shoulder on bad days. I let fear of my past, present and future get the best of me. I didn’t understand what it meant to fully surrender my life to Christ, and live each moment as it was given to me. I got used to planning my life, and letting God sit in the background and take care of my problems whenever they came.

Trusting the unknown is really hard for me. But I have learned it’s importance. I build things up in my mind and when my expectations fail me I get discouraged. If I would just live day by day and follow God’s plan in the first place, this wouldn’t happen. Ya feel me? When you don’t feel God, He’s usually closer than you realize…

"When everything else changes, God’s presence never does. ” -Max Lucado

‎I read this in my devotional today: “Remembering God’s mercy that brought you this far develops courage to trust Him again. Thank Him for the joyful memories, trust Him to heal the hurtful ones, and commit to Him the ones yet to be created.” Don’t let your fear of the unknown get in the way of your life today. Take things step by step, and remember that when times are tough, God is ALWAYS right there by your side. Learn to trust Him with your whole life, so that you can experience His perfect love.
